Many [Rochester] [Audi] Dealers Are Still Pushing The Extended Warranty Hoax
It?s hard to believe that Audi dealers in Rochester are still using one of the oldest tricks in the book. But every month, Audi dealers in your area add thousands of dollars in profit to their bottom lines by pushing unnecessary extended warranties on unsuspecting or uneducated buyers.
Once you have been sent to the finance department, it?s possible the person responsible for closing your agreement will tell you there has been a problem with your loan, and that you?ll have to purchase the extended warrantee to keep the terms (interest, length of loan, etc.) you agreed to. They may even go as far as to tell you it will take a higher down payment to proceed without buying the extended warrantee.
If a Rochester Audi dealer employee tells you this, tell them you need to see the lender?s requirement that you buy the extra warrantee added to your contract. In most cases, the finance employee will suddenly be willing to help you find a way out of paying for the extended warranty.
It?s important to remember that most people who work in the dealer?s finance department were once part of the sales team. They receive bonuses and commission shares just like the reps that meet you when you walk onto the lot, so they do not have your best interests in mind.
